Released in 1980, just two years after I was born, the movie 9 to 5 starring Dolly Parton, Jane Fonda, and Lily Tomlin was a childhood favourite of mine. (and that continues today!). I remember very fondly watching this movie with my dad at the cottage and laughing our faces off. The movie and the song so strongly represent Dolly to me. Strength, courage, and a big voice, all wrapped up in the sweetest package. Dolly is a gift to the world. I listened to a lot of her music making this painting. 
 
Painted to celebrate her curves (without objectifying her), her colourful nature, and the legacy she leaves a trail of (like confetti) behind her.
